Here is my near-mint GP35 Browning Hi Power, manufactured by Inglis of Canada during WW2. The Lend/Lease decal on the Grip is unfortunately a reproduction water-transfer decal, the original, very fragile Gold Leaf decal having long since worn away. It is a fine shooter. I have disabled the Magazine Disconnect which improved the consistency and pull-weight of the Single-Action Trigger immeasurably. The Inglis Hi Powers were durable pistols, serving the Canadian Armed Forces well for 77 years or so in hot spots all around the world - Cyprus, Haiti, Croatia, Bosnia, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc, etc, having only just recently been replaced by the SIG M17 / P320. I carried one in Cyprus 1990, Bosnia 1997 and Afghanistan 2002 and 2008. I had no reason to complain, although I must admit that I would have much preferred to carry my personal SIG 9mm P226 Legion SAO!

Currently? $0.... based on the fact that the transfer of existing, registered handguns has been "frozen" in Canada through federal legislation. Their ownership cannot be transferred for any reason whatsoever, to include bequeathing them to one's children. The outrageous intent of the ruling Lieberals is to remove legal handguns from the Canadian populace within the current generation. When you die the state intervenes and seizes any handguns within the estate. No compensation whatsoever as the guns no longer have any resale value. No shit - this is happening in real time in Canada until such time as we can get our Conservative (Republican) party back in power.

Wow, great gun and thanks for the informative current but unfortunate situation. You know, I surely hope it doesnt accidently fall off the boat while fishing , pulling in that big one and didnt notice until you got back to shore.... or heaven forbid, gets stolen, ... that would be a shame.
Cheers Bro, Surely hope a correct and positive course of action happens for you guys soon. JB

That's horrible, talk about communism...
When I died they'd suddenly learn I had no firearms to confiscate.

Fantastic shape for a 5T series. Incredible to think those Inglis pistols were in Canadian service for nearly 80 years before the SIGs finally replaced them.
