I Used to Like Shooting my Finn M39....

That is until I start seeing prices from $800 to $1000. That's sold, not asking. I may have to start shooting Turk Mausers instead!!

What do you suppose the price would be for a Finn M39 built on a antique French receiver? Figuring itís about 98% perfect

Yeah Iím not shooting it either

IIRC I paid $139 for my first Finn M-39 in 2003.

I'll still shoot my Finns and Mosins seeing that ammo is still fairly cheap compared to the alternatives.

It's my Makarovs, Tokarevs and .32 auto pistols I'm reconsidering, when 9mm is cheaper. At least for the time being.

What's gone on is "modern" Antiques like many M39s have exploded pricewise
They were $300 guns just a few years ago

I'm pretty big in that market
bunch of early Mausers, Krags, Lees, etc
up until recently they moved but moved slowly as non FFL items
Maybe in the past year that market seemed to really heat up

I sold my M39 about 10 years ago for a good profit. Bought it for $69 sold it for $700 never shot it. Traded the 300 rounds of ammo for high standards 22 pistol. I used the money I got to buy a nice Weatherby Ultalight MkV in 338-06 which is one of my favorite guns to hunt elk with.

I got in the C&R game a little late but did manage to pick up a couple of
K31's when they were cheap and plentiful. Fell in love with CMP Garands
and VZ-24's along the way.

I love em and shoot em.

I got lucky down at the SAR when a table had original Sniper turned down bolts for pretty cheap.

Went with the Timney trigger for mines also and it's quite a nice shooter , my SAKO.

It is kinda finicky on certain ammo but it shoots rather nicely.

looking at the Bad Ace tactical drop in scope mount setup now for mines.

I've got an M39 B barrel. At the time I think I paid a shade over $100 for it. Of course that was when you could get five M91's for $100 so some people thought I was crazy to pay that much for a Nagant.
