Just for the record it was a non matching mixmaster a previous owner had already d/t the receiver for a rail, cut the original bolt handle off, added a clearance notch in the stock and refinished it when I got it so there was no collector value left for me to destroy.Nice. Glad you got it working good. Besides destroying the collectability, many people don’t want to mess with it that much. They want to start with something closer to what the end result they’re looking for.
Mosin numbers are finite. There’s lots of buba’s out there, and one of the reasons why their value/cost is up.
I simply finished what someone else started.
I'm happy with the end result.
No regrets.
