As W.E.G. posted, please do a little caveat emptor when buying anything on the forums nowadays.

Vroberts12 replied to my "want to buy" listing and sent pictures. He wanted me to send money to "his wife's" zelle. I was able to find the same exact pictures posted on another site from a completed auction. I asked him for a picture with a "proof of life", which he then PHOTOSHOPED a paper pad into one of the completed auction's pictures. He's a crafty scammer, that's for sure.

Between those 3 accounts (Vroberts12 / Joseph01 / Dgang) , they all left fake feedback for each other. Also, all of those accounts were created on the same day - Jan 13 2023.

Buyers beware dealing with any of those account, mods please ban them if possible.

I've been seeing the poorly photoshopped paper approach pretty regularly on Night Vis groups this last year or so. Sounds like the best approach in those situations is to ask for a video of the item and paper with date/name.

He never posted in the WTB, he went right to PM's as is typical for scammers. How do I include a mod in the pm's?

He has been bounced and we are looking at the other two names. ETA: all three gone.


You can add a mod to a PM conversation by clocking the "add more" button at the bottom of the participant list in that convo.

He reached out to me when I posted a wtb Rhodesian baby poop mag after I had locked the post. During our back and forth he used the email of robertvino631@gmail and beathanda@yahoo. After pressing him for more pics of the mag with the angles I wanted to see, he disappeared.

Big yikes, good callout for everyone else. Do you have the JPEGs of the pictures he used and the photoshop? Reverse google image searching is a must for any forum deals of high value
