You should test one of the cheap Turkish shotguns as well for comparison!

Most shotgun recoil don't bother me, but a 3.5 inch steel bb load out of a Mossberg pump is punishing...
My Stoeger M3000 was not without issues out of the box. The hammer would snag on the seat hook after firing first round. It was grabbing in a spot other than the hook, required some dremel clearance work, fine after that, but could piss off most people.

The mag tube was threaded into the receiver, but not very tightly. Twisted out easily. I reinstalled with sleeve loctite.

The loading port is fairly narrow. I hogged out that mother with a dremel. Much easier to load in a zombie fantasy, but otherwise just devalued my cheap Benelli wanna-be.

It's a slick gun.

Yes, would be interested myself, particularly in the Impala Plus. Long time contributor Randy W on the Shotgun World web site claims that this shotgun is the best one made for under a kilobuck (it currently starts at about $350 for the synthetic stock model on GB). Okay, it's not tactical, well, not until one gets handy with a hacksaw (no worries with an inertial recoil system). ;)

An RW review below, FWIW:

Later RW review on a different model:

i have a couple - the BOSS-25 and VR-80 (i think) they have their own issues but I may have found a fatal flaw in the mossberg. the feed tube seems to have alignment issues if you dont have the clamp and the extention tube tightened exactly the right amount - too tight and it throws the alignment off and the tube spring catches and either wont let you load more than 4 shells or more troubling - it wont feed, i'm working the problem but it seems from comments that its a fairly common problem and people are thinking its a design/engineering flaw... the Turk guns seem to have all been made at the same factory or maybe two and they just change the cosmetics depending on the "brand":) the price is right though. Be advised though, tfb has attempted his 500 rd burn down on a few of them and no turkish gun has survived/been able to get through a burndown.

Since Beretta purchased Stoeger I'm not sure Id pile them in with the rest. They have a reputation to preserve. I have no expectation that Beretta will have them as a budget equivalent of their premier brands (i.e. Benelli, Beretta) but I also don't think they'll allow the Ottoman to ruin their brand from the bottom up.
