You agreed to purchase an item for then backed out after an I'll take it. You were arranging a sale "for a friend" and then backed out after "your friend" said this guy was untrustworthy and decide not to follow through. Since it appears "your friend" is not a member of the Files and the the transaction was arranged through the MP, you will have to suffer the consequences of "your friend's" actions.


Seems like there is a lesson in this somewhere.

My Wall of Shame is recent emailers who state you paid an amount on PayPal to a gun store like NOVA Armory or another which claims your current computer security fee was due and paid. Don't reply, call the listed number or open a link as a charge may apply. The tip off is the sender email address is usually a G-Mail account and has no relationship to the business.
I do check my PP and CC accounts to see if their is a transactions. There is none.

We do not want to say what you can and can't do within limits. If you have a buddy looking for a non-FAL item and you happen to see one for sale in the MP, I would not expect your buddy to become a member just to make the purchase. In this particular matter, a member was acting as a go between from the MP seller and the actual buyer. The problem arose when the buyer did some research on the seller and alleges he found some suspicious activities outside of the FalFiles. This was done after the member posted an I'll take it and arrangements were started for payment and shipping. It was at this point the buyer backed out leaving the member between a rock and a hard place. Unfortunately for the member, all of the suspicious activity was outside of the FALFiles and none of our concern. We only care about what happens in the Files. Thus, the member took the hit for backing out of a sale that he arranged. Are we going to stop members from engaging in MP activity by acting as an agent for a non-member? Not in the near future. The members just need to realize that they are responsible for the conduct of their "friend" and must follow the accepted rules and guidelines of the MP.

As much as it pains me to do this, I have lost my patience with Wild Hond (formerly Wild Card) an FAL FILES member from South Africa where he is a cop. I paid for an R-1 bolt carrier with M in U marking last 27 May 2021. I have not received the bolt carrier despite numerous PMs sent to him along with Facebook Messenger messages. All I have received is periods of no contact followed by excuses. The last excuse and communication I received was on 26 November 2021.

I am so sorry things where not well myside. Work has really been crazy and I suffered a relationship breakup meaning I had to move from George here in South Africa back to Oudtshoorn so I can afford accommodation. I was also taken up in hospital again with a possible return of my Cancer but luckily all tests proofed to be negative which I am very grateful for.

I do however need to make up funds for your shipping this has never happened before and I am really sorry for all of this. At times things go beyond expectations. I will make this up to you. It has been a while I know but I truly hope you can understand. I will keep my word.

His shipping was always slow but the parts came in. He has also stiffed another FAL FILES member on another part and sent him a verbatim copy of the PM he sent me to also explain his delay. That member also hasn't received his parts since the last time I PM'd him.

The second person to be warned about is Lear70.

Last year I lent my Meeper (Vern Smith) FAL AR-15 magazine adapter to MP to have his gunsmith reverse engineer it in order to produce more copies for other FAL FILES members. MP's gunsmith said he couldn't reverse engineer it as it was too complicated. MP returned the adapter and at this point I received an unsolicited PM from Lear70 (Richard Murphy-Lucky Irish Firearms) 19 March 2021 wanting to borrow the adapter to reverse engineer it. I had previously bought a couple of FAL ACR stock adaptors from him along with the DSA para rod adapters for the Grenade Precision scope mounts.

I sent him the adaptor via FEDEX and he received it on 2 April 2021. He has consistently ignored my PMs, e-mails and Facebook Messenger (He has since deleted his Facebook Messenger account and turned his Facebook profile to private so I can't contact him there any longer).

The last communication I received from him was on 19 March 2021 on FAL FILES PM and on 9/25/21 on Facebook Messenger. Here's a copy of our FACEBOOK MESSENGER PMs.

I have been on a road trip recovering a stolen airplane and it’s been consuming the last three weeks plus staying on top of orders. It’s been very busy. Good morning. I’m out of town and will be home tomorrow evening. I haven’t had time to finish it but it’ll come back whether I’m done or not tomorrow. I have been on a road trip recovering a stolen airplane and it’s been consuming the last three weeks plus staying on top of orders. It’s been very busy. Most people don’t work like this so I know it’s hard to understand and I apologize but I’ll send it back and just wait for another one to have time to finish it.


I'll await your tracking number so I can send off the adapter to Arizona Response Systems to start my build.

Basically, it appears that Rich Murphy could not get anyone to sell him one of Meeper's FAL AR-15 magazine adapter and conned me into letting him reverse engineer it but he had NO intention of reverse engineering it. Thanks to him I now have an 5.56 AR-15 magazine FAL project that is dead in the water while he got to complete his rifle.

It pains me to hear this as I sent funds for an item and nothing but crickets. I know another member here that's in the same boat.

I Sent funds for a grenade sight gas plug about 4 months ago and got a response from him immediately stating funds received and that he would send an update with tracking when shipped.... Nothing was received from him since that last message. I've Sent multiple PM's and even a couple emails to his email address that he provided for PP payment... Nothing.
I decided to buy from him This time because he stated that the slow shipping wouldn't happen again... Fugging cork smuggler.

Hate to say it man but WILD HOND got me too.

It will be a year here in a couple weeks since I paid for a Gas Tube I never got.

I defended this guy when others were skeptical and I wish I never did.

One thing is to drop off and never hear from them (Total BS) but he sent a couple stories of moving and health problems. I went with it cause what else am I gonna do?

I treated the guy right. Every time I bought from him Id add a few extra dollars as I knew it would help (Yeah dumb I suppose).

-Paid in May 2021
-September contacts me to say things are running late and Moved, will ship in a week.
-December gave me the health problem PM and will get things shipped ( Also asked if I was interested in buying more----NOPE)

No nothing since. I try to do what I say I will and around here that means allot. I dont know if the dude is dead or just said screw it and left the forum altogether with our money. Doesn't matter to me now as he made several promises and made none happen.

Wild Hond hasn't been on the Files since 21 Dec 2021. Has anybody heard from him after that date? Not making excuses but South Africa took a big Covid hit in December '21 and January this year. Don't know any local people that could check on him.

I too am waiting on a couple parts from Wild Hond. I have bitched in the past concerning his long shipping times (i think 8 months was the record), but he has always come through. Hope he is alive and well, but it does not sound good.
